Firearms, ammo seized in Marquette

MARQUETTE — Firearms and ammunition were seized at a Marquette residence as a result of a search warrant executed by the Michigan State Police-Negaunee Post Friday.

The search warrant was served on a residence on the 500 block of North Fourth Street in relation to a breaking-and-entering investigation that occurred at residence located in Alger County, according to an MSP press release.

The firearms and ammunition were among “multiple items of stolen property” and “other weapons,” officials said, and the investigation is ongoing.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post were assisted by members of the MSP Emergency Support Team and the Marquette City Police Department.
