Gilstorff death remains under investigation
MARQUETTE — The death of Kayla Jean Gilstorff, 26, whose body was discovered July 20 in a clearing northwest of the Ishpeming High School football field, remains under investigation, but no evidence of foul play has been found, according to the Ishpeming Police Department.
An autopsy was conducted July 23 and nothing suspicious had been found at the time, police said, although the cause and manner of Gilstorff’s death are still under investigation.
Police said this morning that they are still awaiting a toxicology report, which could take several weeks.
