MUNISING — “The Naples of America” a long-standing slogan of Munising and Alger County, was discarded at a meeting of the Alger Chamber of Commerce this week and a new one substituted. Hub Perrault, president of the chamber, read a resolution asking that the slogan be changed to “Alger County-Home of the World Famous Pictured Rocks.” The change was approved and will take immediate effect. All merchants and businessmen are requested to use the new slogan on their stationery in order to promote interest in the Alger County area.
