EDITOR’S NOTE: The following information is collected from Marquette City Police Department dispatch log books recorded at the time the calls were received. The incidents reported may have proven to be unfounded once police investigated. Some log entries may be edited or omitted due to space constraints.

Sept. 23

– 11:04 a.m., larceny of a yard ornament, does not want a report at this time, just documentation in case there are further problems, 1900 block Wilkinson Avenue

– 11:08 a.m., found toddler, father came out right away and got child before officer arrived, father was brushing his teeth when the child got out, officer spoke with father and checked residence, the house was childproof and officer did not feel there was any malice involved, South Seventh Street

– 11:30 a.m., found wallet, wallet given to owner, 100 block South Third Street

– 11:40 a.m., subject locked in the bathroom, officers were able to get subject out, appears to be a fault door handle, parks and recreation notified, 800 block South Lakeshore Boulevard

– 12:07 p.m., report of male subject laying on bike path, gone when officer arrived, could not locate, South Fifth Street

– 12:44 p.m., found backpack containing clothing and garbage, belongs to one of the homeless subjects in area, brought over to the Warming Center, 200 block West Washington Street

– 1:09 p.m., traffic detail, U.S. 41 South

– 1:25 p.m., vehicle driving on the beach, vehicle was gone when officer got there, 2500 block North Lakeshore Boulevard

– 1:43 p.m., traffic control, 4500 block M-553
