Two arrested on MDMA drug charges

NEGAUNEE– Two Negaunee residents were arrested Tuesday at their Midway Drive home for felony drug charges, a press release issued by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, or UPSET, said.

According to Detective Lieutenant Tim Sholander, the commander of UPSET, Kylie Muladore, 23, and Deryk Passamani, 22, were arrested for one count of conspiracy to deliver MDMA/ecstasy and three counts of delivery of MDMA/ecstasy.

UPSET detectives orginally initiated an investigation in June after they received information regarding the two suspects selling illegal narcotics — specifically MDMA.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police Negaunee Post assisted with the arrest. Muladore and Passamani were lodged at the Marquette County Jail and were arraigned Wednesday.

Bond was set at $8,000, 10 percent of total charges.

Both subjects have a probable cause conference that will be held Nov. 8.
