ISHPEMING — The second annual Night at the Diner, sponsored by the Greater Ishpeming Area Community Fund, will be on Thursday, Nov. 2, at River Rock Banquet Center in Ishpeming.
The rooms will be transformed into a 1950s diner, and guests are encouraged to attend in period attire, with prizes available for those who dress up. Musical entertainment featuring the 1950s will be provided by the Negaunee Male Chorus. Saucy and sassy actors from the Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council will serve the diner food, including burgers, fries, and sundaes.
The event is a fundraiser, and all proceeds will be used for local grants. There will be a cash bar and 50/50 drawing. Tickets are $30 and are available from local GIACF members as well as at TruNorth Federal Credit Union, the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce, Steward & Sheridan, Crock & Rocker, and the Community Foundation of Marquette County office on McClellan Avenue in Marquette or at Eventbrite.com.
