WRIGHT

MARQUETTE — The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested Stan Henry Wright, 58, of Negaunee, following an investigation into his online activity.

The investigation revealed the former Northern Michigan University employee was using a work computer to download and view child sexually abusive material. Evidence was located on the computer, a release from the Michigan State Police said.

Wright was arraigned Wednesday afternoon on eight counts of possession of child sexually abusive material. Bond was set at $400,000.

According to the release, NMU officials fully cooperated with the investigation. There is nothing to suggest any students were victimized.
