Police release image believed to be Ruska’s truck

Officials from the Michigan State Police released this photo Thursday afternoon. Authorities are fairly confident the vehicle belonged to Eric Scott Ruska, a 37-year-old Rumely man, who — along with LeeAnn Marie Wilmoth, 28, of Cooks — has been missing for several days. MARQUETTE — Police have released an image of what they believe could be the truck involved in a missing persons investigation currently underway in the central Upper Peninsula.

Detective 1st Lt. Robert Pernaski, who works out of the Special Investigation Section of the Michigan State Police, said today authorities were fairly confident the vehicle belonged to Eric Scott Ruska, a 37-year-old Rumely man, who — along with LeeAnn Marie Wilmoth, 28, of Cooks — has been missing for several days.

The two allegedly went fishing Sunday at Chicago Lake in Delta County, but police received a missing persons complaint early Monday from a family member.

Though the photo appears to show a person inside the vehicle, Pernaski couldn’t confirm any details. He said an attempt to digitally improve the image quality is taking place.

Pernaski said police aren’t able to disclose exactly when or where the photo was taken, but said it was in the U.P. and taken since the investigation started Monday.
