Two arrested on meth charges

ISHPEMING — Two Ishpeming men were arrested for methamphetamine related charges last week, after an officer observed them walking toward a wooded area with backpacks.

According to a press release issued early this week from the Ishpeming Police Department, Kyle Lee Dorrow, 21, and Logan Michael Martin, 23, were arrested on June 8 for conspiracy to manufacture meth and operating a lab involving meth.

Both were arraigned on the charges, and lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

Officers reportedly observed Dorrow and Martin walking west on Incinerator Drive in Ishpeming around 3:45 p.m. June 8. Both men were carrying backpacks, and were walking toward a wooded area at the end of the dead end road. It was also raining at the time of the incident, according to police, leading officers to be suspicious of their intent.

After making contact with the suspects, officers found them to be in possession of components necessary to produce meth.

Both charges are felonies, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

A cash bond of $100,000 has been set for each man.
