Old Buddy was rescued by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and transported to Oswald’s Bear Ranch in 2013. He weighed more than 300 pounds at 21 years of age. His biting eye teeth and claws had been removed yet he was a gentle giant amongst the 90-pound yearling bears he roamed with in the ranch waterfalls habitat, the release said.
