Winter Charm entries sought
MARQUETTE — The city of Marquette and Lake Superior Art Association are accepting entries for February’s Winter Charm exhibit.
Artwork that embodies the spirit of wintry climate will be accepted. This is a non-juried exhibition open to the public, and all media is welcomed.
The exhibition will be held at the Peter White Public Library in the Huron Mountain Club Gallery located at 217 N. Front St., from Feb. 2 through Feb. 25. There will be a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2. Artists and the public are welcome to attend.
Entry forms and guidelines for the show can be picked up at the city of Marquette Arts and Culture Center. Artwork that is ready to be hung (with entry form attached) should be submitted to the Arts and Culture Center before 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27. Artists will pick up their work in the Huron Mountain Club Gallery on Saturday, Feb. 25 between 1 and 5 p.m.
Winter Charm is an annual art exhibition made possible by Lake Superior Art Association, the city, Peter White Public Library and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
