Fundraiser to benefit west end
MARQUETTE — The Western Marquette County Health Foundation’s next fundraising event, “A Night at the Inn” is set for Saturday at the Mather Inn in Ishpeming — and all of its proceeds will benefit west end municipalities, according to a press release from the foundation.
The event — slated to run from 6:30 to 11 p.m. — will create an intimate setting in the historic renovated Mather Inn. The evening will include: heavy appetizers from Midtown Bakery, libations (Beer from Cognition Brewing Company, Wine from Michigan Made, and spirits), live entertainment featuring Voices in Motion and Cannonball Drag, and a short program to honor the organization’s donors and grant recipients.
The evening will take guests through various food stations that will creatively feature some of the organization’s grant recipients. In addition to learning more about the foundation, there will be several archives from the Mather Inn and “Anatomy of a Murder.”
All of the funds raised for this event — including registrations, sponsorships, silent auction, scavenger hunt and tips at the bar — will go toward the west end municipalities competitive grant cycle.
The foundation expects to give $20,000 to the west end municipalities this fiscal year.
