MARQUETTE — The newsroom of The Mining Journal office is starting to fill up with gifts as area residents continue to prove their good will with contributions to the Christmas Cheer Club. Toys, clothing, food and other items are piling up on the desks, on the floor, and under the Christmas tree at the entrance of the building. Jumping right into the Christmas spirit was Brownie Troop 211 of Parkview elementary School in Marquette who donated stuffed toys they made to donate. Troop members are: Heather Kauppila, Emily L’Huillier, Kristie Billings, Angela Glass, Wendy Weatherdon, Brook Berube and Stacy Sommers.
