NEGAUNEE — Two people were transported to UP Health System-Marquette Sunday evening to be treated for non-life threatening injuries sustained following an altercation involving a knife.
At approximately 9:12 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 317 N. Brown Ave., in Negaunee, for an assault complaint, according to a report issued by the Negaunee City Police Department.
Prior to arrival, it was determined a stabbing had occurred and two people had been injured during the incident, the report said. After the scene was secured, an investigation revealed that an argument had taken place involving multiple subjects. The argument turned physical and a knife became involved ending with two male subjects being injured with the knife.
According to police, a female was also assaulted during the altercation. One subject was arrested as a result of the investigation as well as an outstanding warrant and two people were transported by Bell EMS to UPHS-Marquette.
Names of those involved are being withheld until the investigation is complete. Additional information will be revealed later this week, police confirmed today.
