Rollover results in hospitalization

MARQUETTE — A 46-year-old Marquette County man suffered serious injuries as the result of a single vehicle rollover crash in Alger County on Sunday morning.

According to a Michigan State Police press release, Alger County EMS dispatched troopers from the MSP-Negaunee Post to the scene of a single vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. on M-94 near Rumely Road in Rumely.

Further investigation revealed that 2001 Honda Accord had been traveling eastbound before the operator lost control and the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned in a ditch.

The operator was transported from the scene to UP Health System-Marquette.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Rock River Township First Responders, Rock River Townshp Fire and Alger Med One.
