Identifications of deceased in Marquette Township domestic dispute released
MARQUETTE – Police have released the names of the three individuals found dead in a Marquette Township home on Thanksgiving following an apparent double murder-suicide.
Charles Masterson, 26, reportedly shot roommates Jessica Drummond, 22, and Brodie Dagenais, 22, early Thursday morning before turning the gun on himself, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police.
All three individuals were residents of 2372 Moran St. in Marquette Township.
Police are not releasing information on the nature of the relationship between the three individuals at this time.
Although the details remain unclear, police are calling the shooting a domestic dispute turned violent.
Just before 5 a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the home in the Trowbridge Park area of Marquette Township following reports of a possible domestic violence incident.
According to the release, Drummond made the 911 call to Marquette County Central Dispatch.
The bodies were later discovered by police who entered the home after a search by a remotely-controlled robot failed to find anyone inside.
Autopsies were conducted this morning at UP Health System-Marquette by the Marquette County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the official causes of death.
An investigation by the Michigan State Police post in Negaunee Township into the incident is ongoing.
