Seeking donations for used books

ISHPEMING — The Friends of the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library are requesting donations of gently used books for their upcoming book sale, to be held in the middle of April.

Children’s books are always in demand as well as modern fiction and nonfiction. Textbooks and encyclopedias will not be accepted. Donors may drop off books whenever the library is open, which includes Tuesday through Saturday.

All proceeds from the Friends’ used book sales are used to support the library and its programs.

The sale will be held April 11-13. On April 11, the sale will begin at 5 p.m., with hardcovers selling for one dollar and paperbacks for 50 cents. On Friday prices will remain the same, but Saturday morning all books will be half price, while there will be a bag sale in the afternoon, with books selling for $3 a bag.
