PWPL to host climate change talk

MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library invites the public to Climate Change Musings with Katya Gordon.

The event will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library’s Community Room on the lower level.

What do climate change, Lake Superior sailing, and a new book all have in common? Two Harbors, Minnesota resident, Katya Gordon’s second book “Climate Change Musings and Studies from Lake Superior’s North Shore” is an easy read intended to help regular people in the Northland connect the dots between climate change and what they see happening around men. Furthermore, it encourages them to become agents of change.

Katya will not only read excerpts from her new book, but she will also show slides of her sailing life with Sea Change Expeditions, including the things she has learned along the way about how our warming earth is affecting Lake Superior and the boreal forest.

After the presentation, Snowbound Books will offer her book for purchase and Katya will be available to sign them. There is no admission charge to attend. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
