Author talk event held Monday

MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library invites the public to an author talk with Tom and Rhonda Casselman. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday in the Library’s Community Room on the lower level.

After 40 years of practicing criminal law across the U.P., Tom and his licensed private detective wife Rhonda authored their first book, “I Talk You Walk,” in 2012, a series of locally inspired case histories with the dual purpose of educating the public about the law while entertaining them at the same time.

Now after 50 years of practicing criminal law, they offer their second and third writings. “Money Talks” is a single case study detailing with their daughter-in-law’s first homicide case under the watchful eye of her firm’s peers. “Don’t Talk You’ll Walk” is a manual for citizens stressing what they should say and do when confronted by polite, but ardently serious police officers seeding the answers to “just a few questions,” and who say, “they know, as a good citizen that you will want to cooperate with them in finding the truth that they seek.”

After the presentation, both books will be available for purchase and signing by the authors. There is no admission charge to attend. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
