Tasty Reads to discuss ‘Delicious!’

MARQUETTE — Tasty Reads, a book group for readers who like to cook, will focus on “Delicious!” by Ruth Reichl at its meeting at noon Dec. 11 in the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room on the lower level.

Taking a job at a New York food magazine, Billie Breslin, away from her family for the first time in her life, strives to establish her own identity. When the magazine abruptly closes, she agrees to stay in the office, working a hotline to pay her bills. While there, she discovers letters written to James Beard by a young girl during World War II, letters which help Billie come to terms with her own family.

Share your thoughts about the book and a recipe inspired by it. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
