American Legion Department Service Officer — Lisa Clark will be in Marquette from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at American Legion Post 44, 700 W. Bluff St. She is available to assist all veterans and families of veterans with claim preparation, presentation, counsel and appeal counsel at no cost to the veterans. Anyone who believeshe/she may be eligible for VA compensation on health, education and/or employment issues, stop by Post 44 and see Clark.

UPCM –The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum will host its Second Thursday Creativity Series from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This week’s focus is on “Entreprenuering,” with 10 home-based businesses each providing hands-on fun for kids. A percentage of purchases will go to support the museum. Live Music, free Culver’s frozen custard and more will be at the event.
