Supercharge September webinars

MARQUETTE — Grow & Lead: Community and Youth Development is ready to help nonprofit organizations supercharge their board this September.

As a follow up to Board Development Month held last January, Supercharge September will feature trainings that dive into advanced board development topics.

“January Board Development Month was a huge success. We had 57 organizations from across the U.P. that attended,” said Amy Quinn, CEO of Grow & Lead in a press release. “We found that many used the knowledge learned in the trainings and implemented them with their board. We’re now getting questions about more advanced topics that boards face. These webinars will address many of the tasks that active, engaged boards tackle on a regular basis.”

Supercharge September features four webinars happening on Wednesday evenings starting Wednesday.

≤ Wednesday, 6-7 p.m. – Who’s Going to do That? – board structures and committee roles

≤ Sept. 12, 6-6:30 p.m. – Mind the Gap – succession planning

≤ Sept. 19, 5:30-6 p.m. – We Want You! – board recruitment

≤ Sept. 26, 6-6:30 p.m. – How Are They Doing? – leadership evaluation

Supercharge September trainings are free and open to anyone interested in learning more about nonprofit boards. Webinar registration is available at www.glcyd.org. Recordings of the live stream will be archived on the Grow & Lead website.
