Genealogical research — The Peter White Public Library continues to partner with the Marquette County Genealogical Society to guide people through the rough spots in research. Animal adoption — from 2:30-6 p.m. at Fox Negaunee, 705 U.S. 41 East, Negaunee, people can help an animal in need. “Find a Friend with FOX” is an offsite pet adoption fair that helps Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter animals in need of a loving home.
UPAWS will be bringing animals that need homes to Fox Negaunee. People interested in adopting a pet must stop by Fox Negaunee to see the animals there and obtain an adoption Voucher. The animals at the shelter, and in foster care included too, but people must stop at FOX Negaunee first to obtain a voucher. Sorry, no exceptions. The “Find a Friend with FOX” pet adoption event brought to the community by Fox Motors in partnership with UPAWS.

Historical bus tour — Marquette Regional History Center’s 2018 Historical Marquette Bus Tour, 6 p.m., gather at MRHC. Advance purchase of tickets is highly recommended. Tickets are available by calling 906-226-3571, visiting marquettehistory.org, or stopping by the Marquette Regional History Center during regular operating hours. Tickets are $20 for all tours which will embark from the History Center. Arrive 10 minutes early to claim a seat. Travel in an air-conditioned Checker Bus for the duration of the tour which is 90 minutes. The bus tours are sponsored by Checker Transport and Travel Marquette.
