Summer Reading — Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library, Science Rocks. with the Michigan Science Center — 11 a.m. What is sound? Why do things make different sounds? Why do you beat a drum but pluck a guitar? This booming show is sure to be a roaring racket of a good time. This interactive demonstration is great for all ages.

Chocolay Senior Drop-In Center — from 1-4 p.m. in the meeting room of the Chocolay Township Hall, Harvey. For social activities close to home and refreshments. This eliminates the morning session.

Art on da Rocks — Teens grades 6-9 are invited to turn plain old rocks into works of art with acrylic paints, Sharpies, yarn, and more. Peter White Public Library Ridge Street Lawn (if raining, Teen Zone), 2-4 p.m.

Storytime — There will be a new storytime at 4:30 p.m. at the Negaunee Public Library. This will be for children ages 5 years and older (younger siblings are welcome to attend), and will offer a variety of programs, including book samples, crafts, and occasional LEGO building sessions.

Forest and Farms — Farmers are continually looking for ways to diversify and bolster risk management strategies on-farm. Forests and Farms, an event hosted by the Hiawathaland County Farm Bureau in partnership with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, Michigan State University Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center, Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program and with funding granted by Michigan Farm Bureau, will share strategies on how to maximize natural resources for greater farm sustainability. Forests and Farms is taking place at 5 p.m. at the Michigan State University Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center South Farm in Chatham, Michigan. The event is free to attend and dinner is provided for registered attendees. Registration is strongly encouraged. Divorce Care — Every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m., Teal Lake Medical Center, 100 Malton Road, Ishpeming. Anyone is welcome who is going through, or gone through, a separation or divorce. Open Meditation Group Sit — 6 to 7 p.m., free (donations accepted). Meditation practice guidance offered from 5:30 to 6 p.m. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church basement, 201 E Ridge St., Marquette. Marquette Area Redistricting Reform Town Hall — put on by Voters Not Politicians, a non-partisan ballot committee, is set for 6:30 p.m. This will be a town hall discussion on the problems caused by gerrymandering and a proposed solution for Michigan voters to consider this fall. It will take place at Marquette Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1510 M-28, Marquette which is located 2.7 miles east of the U.S. 41/M-28 junction in Harvey.
