AAUW books — Marquette Branch of the American Association of University Women’s used book sale, to benefit its scholarship program, is at Marquette’s First Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Front and Bluff streets. This day 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., admission is free.

Digital help — Members of Northern Michigan University’s Student Cybersecurity Association will be available to help library patrons with their personal technology devices from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Peter White Public Library Business Room on the upper level. No charge, no appointment needed.

Fish fry — Ishpeming VFW Post 4573, 310 Bank St., will be having Friday Night Fish Fry, from 4-7 p.m. Take out available. Cooked and served by volunteers, the meal will include a choice of perch, cod, salmon or shrimp. In addition, golden fried chicken, ribeye steaks and burgers are available. Children’s Fair — Great Start to Quality UP Resource Center in collaboration with Westwood Mall and 34 local organizations and businesses announces the 2018 Annual Children’s Fair — Good to Go from Head to Toe! — which will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free, family event offers hands on activities for children birth and up. Children will enjoy exploring many choices of hands on activities and can view demonstrations by local dance and karate studios and even vision screening.
