Chair Yoga — 10:30-11:30 a.m., Chair Yoga provides a unique opportunity to find deeper well-being though exploration of gentle postures, breath work, meditation and deep relaxation. Gentle chair yoga can be practiced by almost anyone at any age. The entry-level requirement for practicing yoga in a chair is simply the ability to breathe and to sit upright in a chair while gently moving the torso and limbs. Spring Salad Spree — Marquette Hope First Methodist Church will again host its Annual Spring Salad Spree from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This popular all-you-can-eat buffet is $10 and take-outs are available. The barrier-free church is located at 111 E. Ridge St in Marquette. All proceeds from this luncheon go to support local charitable needs.

British and American Men and Women in the French Resistance in WWII — Retired McGill Professor Roger Magnuson will present this six-week course about the French Resistance. Peter White Public Library Lions Room. 6:30-8 p.m.

Dogs on campus — Northern Michigan University’s Lydia M. Olson Library will again host therapy dogs from Superiorland Pet Partners to help students de-stress for final exams. Dogs will be available from 7-9 p.m. The library will also have some materials available for coloring, as well as some resource information to help students cope with the stress of exams.

Concert — The Marquette City Band will perform in Kaufman Auditorium, Front Street, Marquette, at 7:30 p.m. MCB Director Dr. Steve Grugin will lead musicians in a varied program that will be both lively and “springy” and guaranteed to brighten moods and herald the coming days of spring. SMART Recovery — is an abstinence based recovery group that meets at 7:30 p.m. at 102 W. Washington St. Suite 114, Marquette. The program is based on scientific knowledge and reason.
