MARQUETTE — Great Start to Quality UP Resource Center in collaboration with Westwood Mall and 34 local organizations and businesses announces the 2018 annual Children’s Fair — Good to Go from Head to Toe! — which will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

This free family event offers hands on activities for children birth and up. Children will enjoy exploring many choices of hands on activities and can view demonstrations by local dance and karate studios and even vision screening. Special guests will include the Marquette Township Fire and Rescue, Jilly the Cow, Northern Michigan University Public Safety’s Patrol Car, the County Sheriff Department’s Search and Rescue and K9 Division, and special character guests from the Peter White Library.

The following local businesses and organizations will participate in this fun event by offering hands on activities at their tables: Active Kids Daycare, Bay Lakes Council – Boy Scouts of America, CAAM Head Start, Camp Michigamme, County Sherriff’s Office, Father Marquette Catholic Academy, Great Start to Quality UP Resource Center, Great Start Parent Coalition, Habitat for Humanity, Jilbert Dairy, Jim’s Music, Marquette Township Fire and Rescue, Marquette Lions Club, Marquette Pediatric Dentistry, Marquette History Museum, Michigan Made, MSU Extension, MCHD WIC Breastfeeding Program, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services the Marquette MOMS Club, Moosewood Nature Center, New Attitudes Dance Studio, Northern Michigan University Public Safety, Peter White Public Library, Start Montessori Academy, State Farm, St. Christopher Preschool, Studio Dance Arts Studio, UP Children’s Museum, UPHP, US Trappers Association and YMCA of Marquette County.
