Rotary plans food/can drive
MARQUETTE — The college and high school versions of Rotary International along with local Rotary clubs are combining forces to host a community-wide food/can drive from March 12-15 to help stock local food pantries.
The Marquette High School Interact Club is competing with the Northern Michigan Rotaract Club and the local Rotary clubs to see which group can come up with the most donations.
The event is an annual celebration of Rotaract Week. Marquette Senior High School has selected the St. Vincent De Paul Society store, 2119 Presque Isle Ave., as the recipient of its donations, and a pick-up of the school’s donations is scheduled for March 15.
