MARQUETTE — A free gardening series continues at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Marquette Missionary Church at 1804 Wright St., in Marquette.

The “Growing Your Food in the U.P.” gardening series is open to everyone.

his session, entitled, “Playin’ It Safe With Your Garden Produce” will be co-presented by Farmers Market stalwarts, Treasa Sowa and Mary Kramer-Rabine. Treasa and Mary will share innovative tips and techniques which home gardeners can use to safely harvest and prepare their garden produce. The series is sponsored by Transition Marquette County.
