Resilient — Pathways is inviting the community to a presentation on “Building a Resilient Community.” Dr. James Henry, co-founder and project director for the Western Michigan University Children’s Trauma Assessment Center, will be discussing how we can empower our community to address the impact of trauma. Speaker — Cary Nelson, former national president of the American Association of University Professors and author of “No University Is an Island: Saving Academic Freedom” will speak at Northern Michigan University. His talk is titled “Academic Freedom in Times of Crisis: The Future of Collective Bargaining, Free Speech on Campus, and Prospects for Peace in the Middle East.” The event is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall.
