‘LGBTQIA: Support and Understanding’

MARQUETTE — On Monday, the Peter White Public Library will present the talk “LGBTQIA: Support and Understanding” at 7 p.m. in the library’s Shiras room as part of its Building Love: Imagine series of events.

Speaker PJ Stephens moved to Michigan from Alaska in 2015. Passionate about writing and the arts, PJ has found an avenue of using these tools of creativity in coping, managing and battling mental health issues, substance abuse and being a suicide survivor. As an LGBTQIA individual and member of local FAM (Forward Action Michigan) MCSPA (Marquette County Suicide Prevention Alliance) and the Building Love Series, PJ speaks publicly about suicide prevention and the unique struggles of growing up LGBTQIA.

There is no admission charge to attend thanks to sponsorship by the Peter White Public Library and Forward Action Michigan-UP.
