Fish fry — Ishpeming VFW Post 4573, 310 Bank St., will be having Friday Night Fish Fry, from 4-7 p.m. Take out available. Cooked and served by volunteers, the meal will include a choice of perch, cod, salmon or shrimp. In addition, golden fried chicken, ribeye steaks and burgers are available. Fish fry — Marquette American Legion Post at 700 W. Bluff St., Marquette, will host a fish fry from 5-7 p.m. There is a choice of whitefish, shrimp or chicken strips and baked potato or french fries. All meals include cole slaw. The public is welcome. There will be live music in the club for members and guests.

Craft sale — The 2017 Fall Extravaganza Bake-Craft-Vendor-New Gifts To Go sale is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at 200 Lost Creek Drive, Marquette. There will be 22 booths and 22 prizes to be given away. Admission and coffee are free.

Fall Craft Bazaar — is planned by the South County Fund Committee Women Who Care, a non-profit organization. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the West Branch Township Hall, 1016 County Road 545 N. Featured will be soup, sandwiches, and of course, the group’s famous pies. Proceeds go toward scholarships, grants which support youth development, and the local food pantry.
