PWPL to screen ‘Norman’

MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library invites film fans to enjoy a bring your own dinner movie event at 6 p.m. Tuesday for a screening of the 2016 film “Norman” in the library’s Community Room.

Mediocre shyster Norman Oppenheimer is a fixer — he does the jobs that other don’t want to do. At a low point in his life, he befriends a young politician who later becomes an influential world leader.

While it appears that Norman’s star is rising, it is also true that his success has put him under greater scrutiny. Starring Richard Gere, Lior Ashkenazi and Michael Sheen, this dramatic thriller is rated R and runs 1 hour and 58 minutes.
