Finn Fun Day — The eighth annual Finn Fun Day will take place at the Negaunee Township Hall, 42 M-35, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until 4 p.m. All are welcome, there is plenty of parking, and there is no admission charge. Food will be served and entertainment will happen during the entire day-long event. Finn Fun Day is sponsored by the League of Finnish American Societies UP Chapter Finlandia Foundation Affiliate. Club Social — Dance Zone’s Ballroom/Social Dance Club meets approximately monthly for a lesson followed by two hours of general ballroom and social dance music. The next event is at 7 p.m. with a one-hour Cha Cha lesson.Cha Cha is the featured dance this session, which means that, in addition to the one-hour lesson, about 25 percent of the dances played during the open dancing segment will be Cha Chas. The other 75 percent will be a nice selection of dance music, including waltzes, fox trots, two-steos, line dances, Latin dances and mixers. Requests are always honored. The charge for the whole evening is $5 per person at Dance Zone, 1113 Lincoln Ave. in Marquette.
