2017 Historical Bus Tours — 1 p.m., Marquette Regional History Center. The bus tour is an entertaining, narrated journey through Marquette. For the summer of 2017 the tours are commemorating World War I during the centennial of the Great War. advance purchase of tickets is strongly recommended. Tickets are $20 for all tours which will embark from the History Center. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable between tours. Arrive 10 minutes early to claim a seat and travel in an air-conditioned Checker Bus for the duration of the tour which is 90 minutes.

Cigarettes — The impacts of tobacco litter on the environment and of cigarettes on the human body will be addressed at a UP4Health Challenge Event titled “Nine Lives of a Cigarette Butt.” This free event will be noon to 1 p.m. in the second-floor atrium of Lydia Olson Library at Northern Michigan University.
