Students prep for ‘A Concert for the Great Lakes’

The third grade Sandy Knoll students and their teachers Nancy Usitalo and Jodi Miller rehearse with Jerry Mills (playing guitar) for their part in a free family-friendly concert which is set for 7 p.m. Monday in Kaufman Auditorium at Graveraet School in Marquette. “A Concert for the Great Lakes” has been put together by Music for All Kids, The Superior Watershed Partnership and the Marquette Area Public Schools and will feature the multi-instrumental Michigan based band Song of the Lakes. The third-graders will be performing earlier in the day and a video of that performance will be shown during “A Concert for the Great Lakes.” The concert is free and open to public and is for all ages.
