American Legion Department Service Officer — Theresa Casteel will be at Post 44 in Marquette from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Post 44 is located at 700 W. Pencil demo — Kathi Hanson will demonstrate “Special Effects Pencil Techniques” at 7 p.m. at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center. Hanson is a representative for the General Pencil company and she will show techniques from her new DVD – “You Want Me to do WHAT With That Pencil?” Graphite, charcoal, pastel and watercolor pencils are covered, using grating, burnishing, layering, resists and masking.
