UP Home Health and Hospice

It is the little things we do that make the biggest impact in the lives of others. As a volunteer with U.P. Home Health & Hospice, you will be able to leave lasting impressions on hospice patients, their family and caregivers. Build your skills or share your talents with Hospice patients in a variety of volunteer opportunities and the life you change, just may be your own. U.P. Home Health & Hospice continues to exceed standards with chart-topping clinical quality reports while growing its volunteer team. Hospice volunteers are a special group of individuals who provide service, companionship and friendship to patients through a variety of activities, and respite to caregivers. Activities with patients may include helping with life reviews, memoirs, reading or listening to music together, preparing light meals, running errands, veteran-to-veteran interaction, writing letters or making bereavement phone calls. Volunteers visit patients in private homes and residential care facilities. UPHHH provides free training, flexibility, ongoing support and education to ensure all volunteers are comfortable working directly with patients and their loved ones and it is essential for the volunteer to understand that they are part of the Hospice Team. For more information, call 225-4545 or email: volunteer@uphomehealth.org.
