2 vehicle accident in Marquette

MARQUETTE — Two people sought medical treatment after a two-vehicle personal injury accident Monday at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and West Bluff Street in Marquette.

The incident occurred at 11:17 a.m., according to a press release from the Marquette City Police Department.

A Ford Edge, driven by Kyndra Fraly, 21, of Marquette, was southbound on Lincoln Avenue when a 2017 Toyota passenger car entered the intersection of West Bluff Street and Lincoln Avenue, colliding with Fraly’s vehicle.

The 2017 Toyota, driven by Aunjah Turnbull, 24, of New Jersey was eastbound on West Bluff Street and had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection before colliding with Fraly’s vehicle.

Turnbull was found at fault in the collision and cited for failing to yield.

Fraly was transported to UP Health System-Marquette by UP Health System Emergency Medical Services. Turnbull later sought her own medical treatment.

The Marquette Police Department was assisted by the Marquette Fire Department at the scene.
