Knitting guild holding sale

MARQUETTE — The UP North Knitting Guild is holding its first Stash Buster Sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Peter White Public Library in the lower level.

Guild members are selling their stash of yarn, needles and books. This will be wool, acrylics plus other fibers. Members will be at their tables selling their items.

There will also be a hand-knit items ideal for holiday gifts. Each sale must be paid for at the various tables and cash will be accepted method of payment.

This is open to the public and there is no admission charge.

Back, neck pain to be addressed

MARQUETTE — From noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, physical therapist Kate Hosking of UP Rehab Services will discuss how to alleviate back and neck pain through physical therapy in this month’s “Meet the Physician” series in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room.

Kate Hosking is a board certified orthopedic specialist. She received her bachelor’s from Northern Michigan University and DPT from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She works in outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, and shoulder and hip rehab using manual therapy techniques and an evidenced-based treatment approach.
