Walk a Mile in My Shoes set for Thursday

MARQUETTE — The second annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes, presented by Pathways Community Mental Health, is planned from 1-4 p.m. Thursday.

Registration begins at 1 p.m. at the Marquette Commons, 112 S. Third St. The event will happen rain or shine and is free to the public.

Keynote speaker will be Jyotish Wiertela, outpatient services clinician at Pathways. Other speakers will include Bob Sheeman, CEO of Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards; Sandy Chapman, treatment coordinator SUD Recovery at Northcare Network; and Lynn Johnson, emergency services supervisor at Pathways.

The event will include a one-mile walk, information booths, live music, inspirational speakers, free healthy snacks, and a free T-shirt of umbrella to registered participants.
