Call for submissions at ‘Art in the Alley’

MARQUETTE — This spring, the Munising Downtown Development Authority is introducing a rotating seasonal art exhibit in the Munising downtown alley between Elm and Maple streets and between M28 and Superior Street. For the first year, the Munising DDA would like to display Alger County residents’ creative interpretations for “Art in the Alley.”

Artists are invited to submit works in any medium they wish. Reproductions of the works will be displayed in one dimension on large frames throughout the alley. Alger County residents interested in submitting images of their artwork should do so by e-mailing their JPEG files to Kathy Reynolds at kathy@algercountychamber.com by April 13.

If their work is chosen by a panel of judges, the artists will need to be prepared to produce high-resolution photos/files of their works. Questions may be directed to Kathy Reynolds or Pat Sanderson at the Munising DDA (Fuzzy Boyak Center), 129 E. Munising Ave., 387-1110.
