Ghiardi plans retirement

GHIARDI

MANISTIQUE — mBank announced today that Clare Ghiardi, vice president mortgage loan officer, will be retiring effective March 17.

Ghiardi has been with mBank since October of 2003 as a vice president mortgage lender in Marquette.

She came to mBank from a 30-year career in the banking industry, all in Marquette County. Starting in 1985, she began her mortgage lending career. During her time at mBank, Ghiardi was instrumental in the continued growth and success of mortgage lending in the Marquette area, and has been one of the top mortgage banking executives in the region, according to a press release from mBank.

Ghiardi is a native of the Upper Peninsula and a lifelong Marquette County resident. She is an active member of the community and has been a volunteer and donor for several organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and charitable golf outings. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, golfing and spending time with her four children and granddaughter.

“Upon Clare’s arrival, her knowledge and expertise in mortgage banking and tireless work ethic helped lay the groundwork for the ongoing success and growth of mBank’s mortgage operations in Marquette County throughout her tenure,” said Kelly W. George, mBank President and CEO in the release. “Her dedication to her clients and best in class customer service helped thousands of clients reach their dreams of homeownership over her longstanding banking career. Equally important, her commitment back to the Marquette County community and the many hours she spent outside the bank volunteering and assisting other organizations embodied our mission statement to its fullest.”

There will be a retirement celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16 at the mBank Branch located at 857 W.Washington St. in Marquette, on the second floor. Her family, friends, clients and colleagues are welcome to attend.
