Meet GINCC’s new executive director
As the new executive director of the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to thank those who have been valued members of GINCC.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked within the U.P. and the west end in different capacities. I graduated from Negaunee High School, and went on to complete my bachelor of science degree in journalism at Northern Michigan University. Upon completion of my degree, I started my career as a reporter for WLUC TV6 and FOX UP.
After two wonderful years of telling the stories of all the amazing individuals within the U.P., my career took me down a different path, with positions in public relations/marketing and sales. Most recently, I was hired as the marketing and community events coordinator for GINCC.
As the marketing and community events coordinator, I was able to fully integrate myself into the west end, and learn about GINCC’s members and their needs. I’ve also been able to put my talents and skills in marketing, graphic design, social media coordination, event planning, leadership and many more to good use! It excites me to be a part of something so special as the west end, and I am honored to be in the position as executive director. I am eager to begin my new role within the chamber, while continuing to advocate for businesses in this beautiful community and promote positive local business growth. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
