Symons, Frost appointed at Range

MARQUETTE — Range Bank announced the appointment of David Symons to the position of Vice President, chief financial officer of Range Bank. Symons joins the bank with more than 17 years of financial experience.

“We are pleased to have David join our team as our new CFO,” Ken Palmer, CEO of Range Bank. said in a news release. “With his local ties and years of experience he is an ideal fit for our team.”

Symons is a graduate of Grand Valley State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and is a certified public accountant. After graduating, he spent time as a senior examiner with the state of Michigan, and then went on to become the audit manager for Makela, Toutant, Hill and Nardi.

Symons also worked for the State of Michigan in the Department of Insurance and Financial Services as an examination manager prior to his most recent role as CFO for Superior National Bank and Trust.

Frost

Range Bank also announced the appointment of Jack Frost to the position of Senior Vice President and relationship manager for the Trust & Wealth Management Team of Range Bank. Frost previously held the position of chief financial officer with the bank and his appointment to the new position is a direct reflection of the tremendous growth the Trust & Wealth Management division has seen since its beginning in April 2012.

“Over $100 million in assets is now being managed by our Trust & Wealth team,” said Danny Dawidowski, Senior Vice President Trust & Wealth Management Officer of Range Bank. “We are very conscientious of how our growth affects client relationships and in order to maintain our high quality client interactions we are pleased to welcome Jack to our team.”

Frost has over 20 years of banking experience and is a graduate of Western Michigan University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics.

Within the community, Frost is the president of the Marquette Rotary Fund, treasurer of the Downtown Development Authority, treasurer of the Marquette Senior High School Parent Teacher Student Organization, Marquette County Habitat for Humanity board member and past president and board member of the Rotary Club of Marquette.
