Annual Kaleidoscope gathering planned for May 20

MARQUETTE — Kaleidoscope 2017, the educational fun fair for children, will be from noon to 4 p.m. May 20 at the Northern Michigan University Superior Dome in Marquette.

The fair features youth groups and organizations hosting crafts, games, fascinating displays, and many hands-on, fun educational activities for kids pre-K through eighth-grade.

The NMU Seaborg Center Starlab will be on hand, as well as the National Weather Service, Kid Kite, Marquette Food Co-op, U.P. Trappers and Superiorland Pet Partners. Several dance studios will perform, NMU Physics Club will provide rides on a pendulum, Marquette-Alger Reading Council will feature a book and comic making project, there will be face painting, vision screening, the child identification sign up booth, Ishpeming Rock & Mineral Club, U.P. Trappers and much, much more.

The cost of admission is $1 per person.
