LSCP has new board members


MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Community Partnership has announced the induction of four new board members, Steve Adamini, Kate Havel, Scott Knaffla and Brian Sinotte.

Adamini is retired from Kendricks, Bordeau, Adamini, Greenlee & Keefe, PC and of counsel to the firm on real estate, land, and title matters. He also is an adjunct professor of real estate in the paralegal studies program at Northern Michigan University. As a Marquette County Commissioner, he serves on the LSCP and Economic Development Corporation boards as a liaison to the county.

Havel recently “retired” from her position in HR to spend more time at home with her two young children. In the meantime, she volunteers with the kids’ schools, is co-founder of Marquette County Mom Prom and Vice-President of U.P. Human Resources Association. As 40 Below’s president, she serves on the LSCP board as the liaison to the Young Professional’s organization.

Knaffla is a Financial Advisor and Managing Director at Barton, Knaffla & Associates, Ameriprise Financial Services providing financial planning and wealth management. He is also a member of the LSCP Foundation Board, past Board Member for the Marquette Breakfast Rotary Club and is the Assistant District Governor for Area 2 of Rotary’s District 6220.

Sinotte joined UP Health System – Marquette as the CEO in August 2016. He comes to Marquette from Henderson, N.C. where he served as CEO of Maria Parham Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint Healthcare facility. Since arriving in the Upper Peninsula he has been focused on initiatives to improve the quality of health care services to the community and to continue to provide the best possible care.


Each will serve a three-year term.
